Magical Mindset is family-owned and operated by husband-and-wife teaching team Amber and Ryan Jensen. Together, we bring decades of experience working with children, backgrounds in education and environmental studies, and a shared belief that childhood should be filled with play, connection, nature, creativity and joy.

Hi, I’m Amber — but my students call me Mrs. Fun!
I have more than 20 years of experience working with children, including as a credentialed elementary school teacher, substitute teacher, nanny, tutor, camp counselor, basketball coach and after-school mentor.
During my years as a classroom teacher, I became especially passionate about social-emotional learning and helping children build confidence, resilience and a healthy sense of self. That passion led me to become a certified mindset coach and ultimately inspired the philosophy behind Magical Mindset.
As a teacher, I love being silly, dancing, creating, exploring outside and helping children feel deeply known, loved and capable.

Hi, I’m Ryan! I’m an educator, nature lover, gardener, woodworker and dad who believes some of the best learning happens outside.
I earned my degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz and have worked with children from preschool through high school. My background includes teaching, environmental education, farming and working at a 7,000-acre nature reserve.
At Magical Mindset, I love sharing my passion for nature through gardening, building, exploring and hands-on outdoor experiences with the kids.

Magical Mindset isn't just where we teach — it's our home and a place our whole family loves. Our children, Satori, Kaya and Jasper, have grown up surrounded by the preschool community, and our family dog, Pai, is a much-loved part of life here too. You'll often see our family around the property, especially during aftercare, school breaks and special events.
