Amber Jensen
Teacher and Mindset Coach
Hi, I’m Amber, but my students call me Mrs. Fun!
I’m a teacher, wife, and a mother of two beautiful girls.
I have over 20 years of experience working with children. In those twenty years, I have had the privilege of being a camp counselor, tutor, nanny, au pair, basketball coach, substitute teacher, after school mentor, credentialed elementary school teacher, and best of all, a mom.
Most recently, I taught sixth grade for three years in Mendocino County, followed by a year of teaching K - 6th independent study. I loved so many things about teaching, like making a difference in the lives of children, having fun, and being creative. Unfortunately, there were many things that I didn’t enjoy, grading, too many standardized tests, not enough outside time, and not enough time for FUN!
One thing I did discover while teaching, was my passion for Mindset. Each morning I would have community circle with my students, where we would discuss important topics like the power of our words, growth mindset, and social emotional intelligence. It was during these circle times that I saw the impact that teaching positive mindset skills to my students had on their lives. Because of this, I became a certified mindset coach.
In 2021 I graduated from the Mindset Coach Academy as a certified mindset coach and opened Glow Figure Mindset, a coaching business designed to help mothers with their mindset around body image and self-worth. I absolutely love working with moms and helping them live their best lives, but my heart longed for working with young kids and teaching them the power of mindset.
Inspired by my passion for kids, teaching, and mindset, my husband and I have lovingly created Magical Mindset Preschool. We are beyond excited for this new endeavor and are passionate about positively impacting the lives of all children who attend Magical Mindset Preschool.

Hi, I’m Ryan, father of two wonderful girls, Satori and Kaya.
I have a passion for the outdoors, woodworking, surfing, gardening, and most importantly working with children.
I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies. After graduating, I worked for Conservation Core North Bay, where I supervised and mentored a group of at-risk youth on environmental restoration projects in the community.
After working with CCNB, I moved to Thailand with my wife Amber, to teach English for a year. As a teacher I enjoyed the positive impact I had on my students.
After teaching, we moved to Humboldt County where I worked on a quinoa farm and discovered my passion for gardening.
Then, my love of nature brought me to work for the Angelo Coast Range Reserve in Mendocino County where I was employed by UC Berkeley to maintain the 7,000 acre nature park.
From there, I went on to substitute teach for Mendocino County office of education where I subbed every grade from Preschool to High School.
After two years of subbing, I became a sixth-grade teacher with Amber. She and I both co-taught our class. We loved working together and loved building a special bond with our students.
Magical Mindset Preschool is a combination of all that Amber, and I are passionate about. We are excited to teach together and make the world a better place by sharing what we love with a new generation .

Hi, I'm Kaya. I'm 21 months and I love being outside.
My mom and dad are the absolute best. You will love having them as teachers. My mom dances and sings really silly and my dad is really goofy and very good at playing magnet tiles and hide and seek. Also, my big sister and my doggy are my favorite.

Hi, I'm Satori, and I'm in TK.
Although I don't attend Magical Mindset Preschool, you will see me from time to time.
I love jumping on the trampoline, playing soccer, going on the swings and dancing crazy to Moana.
My dad is the best at dance parties and art. My mom is really good at tea party and reading books. My dog is so loveable and my sister is very funny. I hope you enjoy my family and my home.
Born to Teach
Ryan and I love working with kids. For us, working with kids means having fun, being creative, laughing, exploring, getting dirty in nature, expanding our mindsets, and appreciating life. We are so excited to open Magical Mindset and be able to make a positive impact on the lives of many.
